OOTD Deconstructed: Spring is Here

After all the rain and cold I’m happy for promises of warmer temps and sunnier days. It has me having all the feels and ready for dresses, jumpers, and skirts! I’m definitely not an OOTD person, but I love putting stuff together and I thought it would be fun to do a deconstructed version of the OOTD.

The fun yellow overalls are light yet perfect for those cooler spring nights. They have pockets and lemme tell ya…I love a good pocket! I really loved that I got it from TJ Maxx for less than $20 🙂

I paired it with this navy and white floral bodysuit from Forever 21. It was on sale for $8 when I went looking for them and so I snagged this one and a plain white.

I found these at Old Navy by absolute accident! They were under $8 and I thought the yellow would match the overalls so perfectly 🙂

I couldn’t help but wear this beautiful necklace from FabFitFun mostly because it’s my current favorite accessory. It’s just so pretty!

I love a good classic white sneak and these are from Steve Madden. They are used and loved and so easy to pair with anything!

Do you like overalls? Do you prefer more fabric-y ones or do you prefer a sturdier denim? Let me know in the comments!

Fashion Favorites

I don’t know if it’s getting older or just getting more comfortable in my own skin, but the way I look at clothing has really changed.

I feel like I could never find clothes that fit me properly or anything “in style” did absolutely nothing for my body. If it actually looked good it was uncomfortable, I would wear it once, tug and pull on it all night and never wear it again.

Recently, I have been having no issues finding clothes that work well for me. They are comfortable and cute and I am excited to wear them.

I’ve been loving dresses this past summer. It was hot and wearing anything denim, pant-related, or heavy was a no-go. Dresses were great because they were light and easy to pull on, but you still look put together and pretty!

As fall is coming I wanted to find some dresses to transition my way into fall and these next two do exactly that. Both of these fall right in middle of my shin which is a trend I’ve been loving.

This floral black one I got from Old Navy. They had it on sale for 50% off or something and I couldn’t resist. I also ended up getting a solid black version as well. I figure I can pair it with a denim jacket (once I find one) and some mules or white slip-ons and be good to go!

This wrap dress with the light denim material with the sweet floral-ish design had my heart the minute I found it on the sale rack at Target. It was $13 and I was positive it would not fit me. When I figured out the ties and got it on I was in love. I can’t even tell you how much I love this dress!

What’s funny is that I can usually never find too many things from Old Navy that fit my petite frame and dresses at Target are pretty much the same way. I find that things are super baggy or tight around my hips/butt and hang loose around my waist/chest so I was incredibly happy to have found my dresses!

This last item is a jacket from Zara and I am completely unsure whether I keep it or return it. A part of me LOVES it and can’t wait for cooler temps to wear it with everything and everywhere. Another part is skeptical and mocking the first part.

I have nothing like this teddy jacket. It fits big, but it’s snuggly and warm and IT HAS POCKETS. ugh.

Target Haul

Let me start by saying that there is absolutely no food involved in this post! Can you believe it?? Major gasp! You guys know I love food, but I love Target and clothes and beauty too 🙂

I thought since I recently went to Target and bought a bunch of beautiful things I would haul them on here because it’s one of my favorite things to watch/read!

Here we go:

I have to start off on a low note and it breaks my heart a tad bit. This polish by Essie is so gorgeous. This color felt like such a beautiful summer/fall transition, BUT it chips so quickly! I always use a base and top-coat, but it still chips within the day. If you have any tips to prevent this pleeeeeasssee let me know!

I did get this polish as well which I have not yet tried, but am excited to do so! It’s this beautiful dark red

Garnet Red by Sally Hansen

I got three tops that I absolutely couldn’t leave the store without…they are all floral and just seemed like good options for the fall and winter in Cali 😀

The first is a cold shoulder top that I have in another light blue color. I love the way that the blue one looks and wear it so often I had to get this one. It’s more summery and this feels more fall/winter vibes with the colors so it’ll be loved during the next few months.

This second one is a long sleeved top. I don’t know if you can see it, but it has a slight bell sleeve which I adored. It’s beautiful and flowy. The back dips a bit lower and has a cute tie so it can be tied up in the back!

The third is also cold shoulder with a bright red floral print, but it’s in this dark navy so it seems seasonally appropriate 🙂 The sleeve part has trim that makes it even more fem and girly. Major heart eye emojis!

I wasn’t in complete love with all of the items in this next purchase, but I saw donuts and I was sold. I mean c’mon how adorable are these??

This next item is functional and cute-I loved the soft, dusky pink. I had a bright pink wallet before this and it was nice and thin and fit everything. I wanted something similar and this one fit the bill!

Did you guys enjoy this non-food related post? I love hauls and thought it would be fun to do one of my own. Let me know what you think in the comments!
