A couple of week of eats

These eats are from the past couple of weeks or so when my schedule was a bit odd and I was on one day/off the next/on again at work and then I was in reset mode. We had a good combination of eating in and out. Mind you, this is not all the food I ate, but it is all the food I took pictures of πŸ™‚

After Yard House I was craving lettuce wraps and so lettuce wraps I made! These were so good and satisfying!!

We ended up trying a new Mediterranean spot called Zait Bistro and got some wraps. I really enjoyed these wraps and found them to be flavorful and filling. We ate some leftover peppers, carrots, and tomatoes with this to amp up the micronutrients!

I’ve been enjoying the Benevolent Bacon and have been making quite few BLTA’s. If you’re looking for some added heartiness and crunch in your sandwich…would recommend! Also, those pink things are pickled turnips and boy are they so good…they add such a good zing to anything.

After moving to San Bernardino and having a Blaze so close by I’ve reconnected with my love for it. Their crust is so good and it’s so fun to personalize your own pizza. They have so many spots that do this now, but Blaze is still my favorite!

I still love these Denny’s sizzling skillets-this one is the egg white version, but I opted for the whole scrambled egg. It’s filled with broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes, and spinach. Give some Cholula to throw on top and I am one happy gal πŸ™‚

We are still (trying) going strong with having salmon once a week and this dish was fantastic! I cut up some Brussels and pan sauteed them, roasted up some carrots and called it a meal! It was so warm and satisfying.

Speaking of Brussels, (I don’t know why, but I crave Brussels once the cold weather hits) I took some toasted sourdough, slathered on some vegan pesto, sauteed some Brussels and scramble an egg for this delicious looking toast! It really hit the spot especially after the addition of chili flakes πŸ˜€

    Oh man, the shrimp lettuce wrap set up looks so darn good. Are those noodles?! What a great idea! The veggies you ate with the burrito look so vibrant & beautiful! I’d love to try those pickled turnips & one day, I’ve gotta try Blaze. I’ve heard such good things! Have you ever tried Pieology? I heard they are similar.

    I haven’t been to Denny’s in so long. Their food is always so hit & miss but, that skillet looks great! Droooling over that salmon meal. The roasted carrots look absolutely perfect! Yum!!

      Yeahh!! Shirataki noodles! I get them from Sprout’s and they are super cheap and add such great texture.
      If you like pickled red/purple onions then you’ll probably like the turnips? I won’t lie the color really makes them extra delicious to me-they have a great bite!
      I think we went to Pieology once and we both preferred Blaze? I don’t remember why though…hmm.
      This is definitely the most I’ve been to Denny’s in my life. I don’t think I had been till our move here to be honest so that skillet is the only thing I’ve had there. I keep thinking about trying something else, but I just can’t!
      I would be perfectly content eating roasted veggies straight off the pan…maybe with some hummus (all the drooly faces)!

        Ooo, interesting. It looks like you have a sauce on the noodles, too? I’ll have to look for them next time we go grocery shopping!

        I do love pickled red onions. 😊 Dun dun dun, a lot of people have suggested Pieology but, now I must try both lol.

        It’s so hard to stray away from your go-to dishes! I feel ya! & oh my gosh, I’m drooling thinking about roasted veg with hummus.
