We had been trying to plan a beach day for a while now so when opportunity struck we took it and headed out to the beach.
We worked out in the morning so I grabbed a green juice to tide me over till I could have a late(r) breakfast/brunch. I would say that this breakfast burrito from The Country Kitchen in Malibu was well worth it.
It was basic-eggs, cheese, potato and salsa, but all the elements came together to create a tasty burrito.
B had made what he likes to call “broccamole” for our little beach picnic. It’s essentially broccoli mixed in with mashed avocado and he adds in different things for protein and today it was rotisserie chicken.
We brought some grapes so we both munched on those while we sat around enjoying the warm sand and the cool ocean air.
We eventually left the beach and ran around for a while before heading home to figure out dinner. I guess we didn’t have enough BBQ in Missouri because we ended up finding a BBQ place (Rosie’s) to pick up some chicken and ribs.
The chicken was really great-sweet, savory, and tender.
The ribs were just okay and I probably wouldn’t get them again.
We also got a little bit of mac and cheese to try-this was delicious and I would recommend getting this and the chicken if nothing else.
It was quite the day and we were both wiped by the time we went to bed! Till next time friends!
